Angie Malorni (she/her) is an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University School of Social Work. She holds a Ph.D., M.S.W, and M.P.A. all from the University of Washington.

Her research interests span a number of critical youth issues including: socio-political development, critical perspectives of Social-Emotional Learning, social media, out-of-school-time learning, school climate and Youth Participatory Action Research methods.

She has a professional background in youth work. She has worked in a variety of roles in the out-of-school-time and youth development fields, including: direct service & facilitation, mentoring & coaching, curriculum writing, program design, staff training and program evaluation (including youth-led participatory evaluation). She has also facilitated county-wide learning community meetings for youth workers to collaborate and build relationships around issues in the youth development field.
